Blinded observations
« Back to Glossary Index

Blinded observation is a process undertaken to decrease bias in clinical studies. For example, in clinical trials, blinded observations mean the researchers, clinicians, and medical staff involved in monitoring the efficacy and safety of the therapy or intervation being studied do not know which participants are in the experimental arm.
