« Back to Glossary IndexPatient preference, in its simplest interpretation, refers to a patient’s expression of desirability or value of one course of action, outcome, or selection in contrast to others.
More formally the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) defines patient preference as a statement of the relative desirability or acceptability to patients of specified alternatives or choice among outcomes or other attributes that differ among alternative health interventions.
